According to Shawbrook Bank’s latest report, Confronting the EPC Challenge*, close to a quarter of landlords surveyed say that their properties have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D or below.

However, the number could be higher with a further quarter (27%) of landlords admitting they don’t currently know the EPC rating of their properties.  
This could prove a challenge to the private rented sector, as under proposed regulations, landlords may be required to make changes to their properties to improve their energy efficiency rating by 2025 for all new tenancies. To continue reading, please Click Here
