Home buyers want financial advice

We take a quick look at the numbers behind people requiring financial advice prior to purchasing a property

84% of home movers seek financial advice at some point during the buying process. The majority (64%) do this prior to purchasing.
Of movers who seek advice and require a mortgage, 39% use an agent’s recommendation for their choice of mortgage provider, rising to over half of movers who only seek advice after finding their property.
Younger buyers (those aged up to 34) are most likely to seek financial advice and arrange a mortgage through a broker recommended by an estate agent.
Home movers should seek advice and shop around to find the best mortgage deals, particularly following recent headlines.
