The internet is paramount for homebuyers after Covid

Properties without a strong broadband connection could struggle to find buyers in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, research from TalkTalk suggests.

Over nine in 10 (93%) potential buyers see having a reliable internet connection as a priority when house hunting, up from just over half (53%) before the Covid-19 crisis.
Nearly two thirds (62%) of Brits admit they would consider not buying a house if it didn’t have a strong, reliable internet connection.
Sian Doyle, consumer managing director at TalkTalk, said: “Moving house is an incredible life milestone and Brits today are taking even more care when choosing a new property.
“With the working from home culture likely to stay, ensuring you have an internet connection you can rely on is vital.”
People consider having a strong connection as more important than double glazing (46%), friendly neighbours (40%), nearby shops (36%) and good transport links (35%).
Only having a garden (75%) and being on a quiet road (56%) are prioritised by more people than the internet.

When it comes to selling your home, small improvements can make a big difference to the final price you achieve. The good news is that you don’t always need a full renovation. With a few cost-effective upgrades, you can boost your property’s appeal and attract more motivated buyers.

If you’re planning to sell your home in Attleborough, there’s a truth you can’t ignore: not every property makes it from “For Sale” to “Sold.” While some homes attract buyers quickly, others linger and quietly disappear from the market. The difference isn’t luck—it’s about strategy, timing, and knowing what really sells here.

Autumn may not be the first season that comes to mind when people think about moving, but it can be a surprisingly strong time to sell. Buyers who are still active at this stage of the year tend to be serious about completing before Christmas or the new year. With the right preparation, your home can stand out and attract motivated buyers even as the nights draw in.

Attleborough’s terraces and town houses form the heart of the local property market, offering a mix of period charm and modern convenience. From character-filled homes near the centre to contemporary builds on newer estates, they remain popular with first-time buyers, movers, and landlords alike, thanks to their versatility and enduring appeal.
