We continue with our Meet The Millbanks Team Series

Estate Agency has always been, and always will be, a people orientated business, people buy people, high levels of customers service count for everything in the property world of buying and selling. Today we introduce to you another team member from our successful Team Millbanks, today it's our our Residential Market Appraiser/Valuer Martin Jones

Martin has been a key part of our team since 2019.
His exceptional people skills were honed during many years in customer service.
Martin’s passionate about doing things right and making clients feel special.
He said: “There’s never a one size fits all when it comes to helping people sell their homes. When we’re marketing a property, we know how important it is to address all the small details and pay attention to them. That’s why we take the time a bespoke marketing plan designed to get our clients the best possible price for their property.
“I enjoy the competitive nature of estate agency, but my favourite part of the job is helping clients sell successfully. I love the sense of satisfaction in knowing I’ve done a good job for my clients and played a small part in helping them move on successfully.”
He’s a family man with two young daughters, a keen runner and has chickens, guinea pigs, cats and a dog – which is his favourite Chester the Beagle.
Martin’s top tip for homeowners thinking of selling: Do your research when choosing an agent to sell your home. You want someone who will take any stresses off your shoulders and listen more than they speak.

If you step back, a familiar pattern emerges. We rent when young, buy as life settles, and often own outright later on. Yet it’s not the same for everyone, with more people renting into later life. Property reflects life stages, choices and timing. To learn more, click the link and read on.

The latest figures on the average rent paid by new tenants in February 2026 reveal a market that is no longer moving in one direction across the UK. Instead, regional differences are becoming clearer, with some areas still seeing modest growth while others, particularly in the South, are starting to soften.

April is the final window for landlords in England to prepare for the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act. With the new tenancy regime starting on 1 May 2026, now is the time to review paperwork, processes and whether self-management still feels realistic.
